Data released Monday show four of the BUIs occurred in the state Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Gainesville Region, two of them on Lake Lanier.
One of the drownings also occurred at Lanier.
Statewide, there were also three boating “incidents,” none reported on Lanier or anywhere in the Gainesville Region, DNR spokesman Mark McKinnon said Monday.
