Ga. congressional redistricting trial ends; Lake Lanier movie premiere is this weekend

*The fate of Georgia’s congressional districts is now in the hands of a U.S. district court judge. An eight-day trial ended Thursday. The issue: whether Blacks are being adequately represented. Among the districts coming under close scrutiny is the one that includes Forsyth County and part of Dawson. Georgia News Network reports the judge is expected to decide within a few weeks if new lines need to be drawn.

*The horror-thriller movie “Lanier,” which its producers say is inspired by the true events of Oscarville, Georgia, is set to premiere Saturday on Video-on-Demand. LANIER (laniermovie.com)
