A 35-year-old Buford woman faces DUI and other traffic charges following an accident on Georgia 365 Friday. The state patrol released details of the crash late Sunday night.
STATE PATROL NARRATIVE:
“Vehicle #1 (2022 GMC Terrain) approached the intersection of Demorest Mt Airy Hwy while traveling south on GA 365. Vehicle #2 was stopped at the intersection…at a red traffic signal.
The Driver of Vehicle #1 approached the intersection at a high rate of speed (and) struck the rear of Vehicle #2 (2022 Kia Sportage)…
Ashley Rachelle Gustafson…was charged with the following:
*DUI
*No proof of insurance
*Following Too Closely
*No seatbelts”
Monday afternoon, the state patrol said that contrary to other reports, there were no serious injuries in the accident, only a “complaint of injury” by the driver of the Kia, Rita Guest of Clayton.
