One person was injured in a three-vehicle accident on Georgia 365 in Habersham County early Saturday evening.
GEORGIA STATE PATROL (GSP) NARRATIVE
“Vehicle #1 (2007 Honda CRV) was traveling northbound on SR 365 approaching SR 384 (Duncan Bridge Rd). Vehicle #2 (2019 Chevrolet Tahoe) was traveling southbound on SR 365 toward the same intersection. Vehicle #3 (2014 Ford Fusion SE) was stopped at a red traffic signal on SR 384 (Duncan Bridge Rd), facing south at the SR 365 intersection.
Driver #1 attempted to make a left turn onto SR 384 and failed to yield. Driver #2 attempted to stop but struck the right rear fender/wheel area of Vehicle #1 with the front of Vehicle #2. The impact caused Vehicle #1 to rotate and strike the front of Vehicle #3 with its right front fender/wheel area.
Driver #1 – Roy Rickman, age 69 of Lakeland, FL, was injured and transported to Northeast GA Medical Center. Mr. Rickman was charged with Failure to Yield While Turning Left.
Driver #2 – Selina Buell, age 55 of Buford, GA, was not injured.
Driver #3 – Jennifer Harris, age 47 of Demorest, GA, was not injured.”
