A 29-year-old man, wanted following his indictment by a Hall County grand jury, was arrested early Sunday during a traffic stop by a Hall County sheriff’s deputy.
Cesar Jimenez-Tavira is being held without bond on charges of:
FORGERY 1ST DEGREE, F (FELONY)
DUI
DUTY TO STOP AT ACCIDENT (HIT AND RUN, LEAVING SCENE OF ACC. (MISDEMEANOR)
FAILURE TO APPEAR (FELONY)
UNATTENDED MOTOR VEHICLE (MISDEMEANOR)
STOP YIELD SIGN VIOLATION (MISDEMEANOR)
RECKLESS DRIVING 1ST OFFENSE (MISDEMEANOR)
SERIOUS INJURY BY VEHICLE (FELONY)
LICENSE – DRIVING WHILE UNLICENSED OR EXPIRED (MISDEMEANOR)
DRIVING ON WRONG SIDE OF ROADWAY (MISDEMEANOR)
SERIOUS INJURY BY VEHICLE (FELONY), and 12) UNATTENDED MOTOR VEHICLE (MISDEMEANOR)
“He had a bench warrant (from a local court) related to the indictment when we arrested him,” sheriff’s office spokesman Derreck Booth said Monday morning. “Our deputies arrested him during a traffic stop around Old Candler Road and GA 60/Candler Road. Our deputy cited him for driving on the wrong side of the roadway, driving while unlicensed, DUI-alcohol and first-degree forgery (felony).”
Booth added that Jimenez-Tavira was also in possession of a Mexican driver’s license with a fictitious name.
