*A convicted rapist and child molester has been arrested by Dawson County authorities on charges of sexual exploitation of children. A Facebook posting from the Dawson County Sheriff’s Office says Joshua West (pictured) was found to be in possession of electronic devices which contained the exploitative material.
*The Jackson County Sheriff’s office reports that the gunman who was the subject of a lookout that was posted Friday has been arrested. The subject is a juvenile. The victim left the scene of the shooting in a Pendergrass subdivision and had not been located at last check.
*A fatal accident occurred Saturday afternoon on Lake Russell Road near Mt. Airy, according to the Habersham County Sheriff’s Office. No other information was immediately available.
