GSP NARRATIVE :
“On Saturday, August 26th, 2023, at 11:20 AM, Troopers responded to the area of SR 365 (Cornelia Hwy) and Jaemor Farms Dr for a traffic crash investigation.
The investigation showed a Toyota Corolla was traveling north on SR 365 and entered the U-Turn lane north of Jaemor Farms Rd. The driver of the Corolla, Millie Louise Thomas, 84, of Lula failed to yield to a Kia Sorento that was traveling south on SR 365 in the right-hand lane. After the initial impact, both vehicles traveled off of the shoulder and struck a guardrail.
Both Thomas and the driver of the Kia, 23-year-old Joanna Guadalupe Gonzalez-Paz, of Maysville, were transported from the scene with serious injuries.”
