Forsyth elections board nixes attempt to cancel 700+ voter registrations

The Forsyth County Board of Elections has rejected an attempt to cancel 742 voter registrations based on software analysis that identified people who may have moved from Georgia.

The board upheld 45 challenges with more detailed evidence, such as screenshots showing voters had registered in other states.

Its decisions were split along party lines. with the chairwoman telling the AJC there is a need for individualized evidence.

The challenges were part of a larger trend of voter challenges in Georgia, with new laws affecting the process set to take effect soon.
