Former Gainesville city councilman Mark Musselwhite is one of three finalists for county manager in Habersham County.
Musselwhite, currently serving as city manager in Demorest, was on the Gainesville council 2000-2006. He has been Demorest City Manager two years.
The other finalists are former Toccoa police chief Tim Jarrell who is now an investigator with the Habersham County Sheriff’s Office and Tim Sims, who was named interim Habersham County Manager in December when Alicia Vaughn resigned. Sims also serves as the county’s Finance Director, a job he has held for four years.
State law requires the county commission to wait at least two weeks before deciding which one of the three will get the job.
