Former Barrow coach again arrested on child sex charges

A former cheer coach at a Barrow County gym is in jail in Winder charged with sexual exploitation of children, just a month after his arrest on unrelated but similar charges.

Charles Archibald Moore, Jr., 34, was arrested early Tuesday at his Gwinnett County home.

Moore was fired last November by his employer, Star Athletics in Winder, following complaints from parents of inappropriate social media posts.

Investigator Heather Stafford of the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office says investigators believe there are additional of victims of Moore’s actions.

“We really want to let these girls know that they will not be in trouble if they come forward with information relating to Mr. Moore’s behavior,” Stafford said.

“Moore is a predator and has been grooming these young girls for his own sexual gratification,” Barrow Sheriff Jud Smith added.

His earlier arrest also involved a former student.
