A former state representative from Barrow County, who now serves as Chief of Staff for Georgia House Speaker John Burns, was severely injured in an accident on his farm this weekend.
England was member of the House of Representatives for about 20 years. He left the House in 2023 and was once chairman of the powerful House Appropriations Committee.
Burns posted on X that England was injured Saturday morning and that he had undergone treatment to “repair a serious injury he sustained to his spinal cord.”
Details of the accident itself were not immediately available.
Before he was elected to the House, he was a farmer and agribusinessman.
