Flowery Branch shooting: Nothing new, HCSO reports

A spokeswoman for the Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) said Wednesday morning there was nothing new to report on the Labor Day shooting in Flowery Branch that left one man dead and another wounded.

EARLIER STORY. POSTED TUESDAY MORNING: An investigation continues following a deadly shooting in Flowery Branch early Monday morning.

A spokeswoman for the Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) said Tuesday it happened about 6:45 at a house in the 3600 block of Osborne Road in Flowery Branch.

“…when a woman called 911 to report the shooting of a man inside the home,” B.J. Williams said. “Deputies arrived to find William Hargrove, 67, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Mr. Hargrove was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.”

Meanwhile, deputies learned a second man, age 33, who also lived at the residence, had
been shot. That man had been transported to the hospital by a family member for treatment of multiple gunshot wounds, Williams added. “The injured subject remains hospitalized. His identity is not being released at this time.”

She also said this is an ongoing investigation and there are some details that investigators are not making public at this time.
