The Flood Watch area has been expanded to include Hall and surrounding counties and is now effective into Tuesday night. “Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches with isolated totals of 6 inches remain possible within the watch area through this evening,” the weather service said in making the announcement. “Saturated soils and terrain influences could enhance flooding concerns.”

A Flood Watch remains in effect for parts of north and central Georgia, including Dawson and Forsyth counties.
“Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches with isolated totals of 6 inches remain possible within the watch area through this evening,” the National Weather Service (NWS) advises. “Saturated soils and terrain influences could enhance flooding concerns.”
This rainfall may cause flooding of rivers, creeks, and streams, as well as other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
