First-time claims for unemployment insurance in Hall County were down in February by 29.6% compared to January and 32.2% compared to a year earlier. (January figures were released last week.)
Statewide, applications were down 40.7% over the month and 10.6% over the year.
In the 12-county Georgia Mountains Region, which includes Hall County, claims were down 35.5% and 29.6% respectively.
