FCSO: Traffic stop leads to drug, weapon charges

“(A few days ago) at 1:40 a.m., deputies stopped a car on GA 400 for failing to maintain its lane.  While the deputy was dealing with the driver…K9Goose and his handler showed up.  K9 Goose did a free air sniff of the car and alerted that there were possible illegal drugs in the car. 

Deputies searched the car and located 57.53 grams of methamphetamine, 29.10 grams of cocaine, a small amount of crack cocaine, less than an ounce of marijuana, numerous drug related items and a firearm.  The meth tested positive for fentanyl. 

62-year-old Ernest Lee of Sparta was taken into custody and charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine, Trafficking Cocaine, Possession of Less Than One Ounce of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Related Objects, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon During the Commission of a Felony, and Failure to Maintain Lane.”
