FORSYTH CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE (FCSO) NEWS RELEASE:
“(Late Saturday afternoon) the Forsyth County 911 center began receiving calls regarding a
single vehicle crash on Matt Highway near Rose Creek Drive.
The initial investigation reveals a 2014 Ram 5500 was traveling east on Matt Highway and failed to negotiate the left-hand curve in the roadway. The truck left the roadway and struck and tree and fence.
The driver, 36-year-old Jose Alvarado Macario, and the rear passengers, 24-year-old Abraham Vargas
Vargas and 18-year-old Alberto Rios-Pintoja, were pronounced dead at the scene. The front passenger
sustained injures and was transported to a local hospital…”
