FLOWERY BRANCH POLICE DEPARTMENT (FBPD) NEWS RELEASE:
“On October 28, Investigators with the Flowery Branch Police Department (FBPD) responded to a local business in the Stone Bridge Shopping Center regarding multiple incidents of shoplifting.
Loss prevention personnel provided Investigators with video evidence identifying a suspect
later confirmed as Jeffrey Stokes, 62, of Lawrenceville. The footage showed Stokes entering the
store on four separate occasions between September and October. During each visit, he was
observed removing display tools, concealing them, and exiting the store without payment.
Investigators were able to positively identify Stokes, and warrants were subsequently obtained
for his arrest.
On November 4, Stokes was taken into custody at his home without incident by Gwinnett County Police.
He was later transported to the Hall County Detention Center, where he was booked on the
following charges:
- Theft by Shoplifting (3 counts)
- Theft by Shoplifting”
