A South Hall man was arrested Wednesday after he went to the well too often, so to speak, according to Flowery Branch Police.
Assistant Chief Todd Templeton said Thursday that on Nov. 10, Chad Spencer English, 37, of Flowery Branch attempted to steal merchandise valued at approximately $3,000 from a store located in the 5800 block of Spout Springs Road. “Mr. English was confronted by store management during the attempted theft, but he fled the scene before police could arrive.”
Templeton added “Store management was able to identify Mr. English due to his involvement in a
similar incident at another location. Upon notification of the attempted theft, the Flowery Branch Police Department initiated an investigation into the matter.”
Based on the evidence and the store’s identification of the suspect, a felony Criminal Attempt to Commit Shoplifting warrant was issued for English’s arrest.
