*(FROM SRN NEWS/AP) – FBI agents were executing a search warrant at the Fulton County elections office near Atlanta on Wednesday. An FBI spokesperson said agents were “executing a court authorized law enforcement action” at the county’s main election office in Union City. The spokesperson declined to provide any further information, citing an ongoing matter and the Justice Department offered no comment. The raid comes as the FBI continues to pursue the political grievances of President Trump.
*A new transitional living community called The Oaks is opening in Decatur to provide housing and support for young adults who aged out of foster care. Officials say the renovated apartment complex can house 29 former foster children, each with their own bedroom. Fox5 Atlanta reports Wellroot Family Services plans to have staff available 24-7 to help residents make the transition to adulthood. The organization has already helped 11 young adults move into similar apartments.
*Columbus’s business, political, and civic leaders gathered recently at Columbus State University to discuss the economic future of west Georgia city. Missy Kendrick, President and CEO of Choose Columbus, was among the speakers. WRBL reports she said she believes with new leaders the city should focus on recruiting data centers to create more jobs and expand the tax base.
