Fake Spring coming to an end

Our springlike weather is coming to a screeching halt this weekend, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). Forecasters say the return of winterlike temperatures will be preceded by rain but no freezing precip of any king – sleet, freezing rain, or snow – is expected.

“Temperatures will remain warm across North and Central Georgia through the week, becoming over 15 degrees above normal with daily record highs possible on Thursday and Friday,” forecasters wrote in a Wednesday morning advisory. “Rain chances will increase towards Friday with Saturday into Sunday being the best chances for measurable rainfall. Below normal temperatures beginning early next week after cold front passes this weekend.”
