Students and employees at Lanier Tech College (LTC) were warned Monday to expect traffic delays on Georgia 365 and Lanier Tech Drive at the entrance to the school this week. That’s because of planned partial road closures that will be occurring this week along Lanier Tech Drive on the school’s campus, according to LTC president Tim McDonald.
“Lanier Technical College Police Chief Jeff Strickland and I have been in contact with DOT Project Manager Kevin Barrett regarding the latest news about the Hall Campus Flyover Bridge Construction Project,” McDonald wrote in a social media post. “Please be advised that the Georgia DOT has planned two partial traffic closures on Lanier Tech Drive to install new water lines.”
The dates and times are listed below:
1. Tuesday: Near the Construction Field Office. DOT plans to close half of the road at a time to run the water line across Lanier Tech Drive. One lane at a time will be closed. They will provide a flagman during the closure. This will take all day.
2. Saturday: Between Race Trac Gas Station and the Hall Campus Main Entrance. DOT plans to close half of the road at a time to run the water line across Lanier Tech Drive.
“please travel safely when entering and exiting the Hall Campus,” McDonald wrote in conclusion.
