ER patient charged with attacking hospital security guard

A Habersham County man has been charged with assaulting a hospital security guard.

Warrants allege that Christopher Jarred Martin of Alto “kicked the victim in the face causing abrasions and swelling to the bridge of his nose and biting the victim’s left hand, causing broken skin, swelling, and bruising while in the emergency room at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Habersham.

Three other warrants charge Martin with obstruction of emergency medical technicians, charges that are related to the attack on the security officer and interference with a nurse and medical technician.
