EFHS football coach retiring

FORSYTH CO. SCHOOL SYSTEM NEWS RELEASE:

“East Forsyth High School announces retirement of Head Football Coach Brian Allison

The Bronco football program has grown under Coach Brian Allison’s guidance.  The first season at East only produced two wins. In year two and at AAAA, the football team improved to 6-4, barely missing the playoffs. The Broncos 2023 season finished at 7-4, making the playoffs for the first time in school history.

Over his career, Coach Allison has a 161-129 record.  He served as head coach for 28 years and coached football for 36 years with stints at Union County, Winder Barrow, East Forsyth, and his alma mater Furman University.

Coach Allison shared that “it has been a great experience to start a program with the administrative and community support that East Forsyth High School has had.”

“Coach Allison was the right coach to start the program at East Forsyth,” shared East Athletic Director Matt Hollis. “He had done a great job building a staff and developing relationships with the kids and community.  I am thankful to have had his guidance in starting the Bronco football program.”

Coach Allison will continue to teach and finish the year at East Forsyth High School.”
