‘Easter burglar’ facing new charge

Another burglary charge has been filed against the Gainesville man who was arrested Easter Sunday in connection with a house burglary.

The latest in this HALL CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE NARRATIVE:

“A Gainesville man, already in jail for burglary, is being charged with first-degree burglary (felony) in another case under investigation by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO).

HCSO investigators obtained a warrant in the latest case involving Brandon Lee Ergle, 43, on Friday, April 5. Ergle was served at the Hall County Jail.

According to the initial investigation on the latest charge (added Friday), Ergle entered a residence in the 3000 block of Maynard Circle with the intent to commit a theft. The incident happened between March 24 and March 25.

The burglary Ergle was initially arrested for occurred on the afternoon of March 31 in the 2000 block of Cove Road.  According to initial details, Ergle entered a house with the intent to commit theft. Deputies arrested him on a warrant for first-degree burglary (felony) in that case on the evening of the 31 on Memorial Park Drive near Ga. 13/Atlanta Highway.

Ergle took various tools in each crime. He is being held without bond.”
