Drought intensity growth, expansion slows

There was little change in areas affected and the intensity of drought conditions in Georgia over the past week including our corner of the state. The latest report was issued by the U.S. Drought Monitor Thursday morning.

There was also little change in the level of Lake Lanier since last Thursday. It stood at 1,062.6 Thursday morning, down three-tenths of a foot since a week ago.
