At least one sign has appeared on Lakeshore Mall property seeking tenants for a major redevelopment of the mall by its new owners. Plans for the project were announced and approved by the city council in 2024.
A sign has been placed on the fence along Shallowford Road on the backside of the mall’s property seeking tenants and announcing that pre-leasing is underway. It includes an artist rendering of what one portion of the finished product is expected to look like as well as a phone number and email address for anyone seeking more information.
Plans call for a mixed-use development consisting of retail shops, a residential component, and a hotel. The new owners have said that of the existing stores only Belk and Dick’s are expected to remain.
