Patchy dense fog is possible again tonight over north and central Georgia with a deep freeze a possibility next weekend in the northern part of the state.
“Models are favoring a very strong Arctic high pressure moving into the eastern half of the country, though how far south cold air gets is still somewhat uncertain,” a weather service advisory issued Sunday night says. “Very cold air may begin to impact the area as early as Friday evening and stick around through the weekend.”
Morning lows next weekend could be in the teens and 20s starting Friday night. But before that, showers are likely Monday and again Thursday and Friday.
