UPDATE: Deer vs. car collision leaves 72-year-old seriously injured

A 72-year-old woman was seriously injured Saturday when the car she was riding in was hit by a deer. This happened about noon in Habersham County.

GEORGIA STATE PATROL NARRATIVE:

“On June 29, at 12:06 PM, troopers responded to GA 15 and Tom Borne Road for a vehicle crash.

The investigation revealed vehicle 1 was traveling north on Georgia 15 when a deer entered its path of travel and struck the vehicle, traveling through the windshield.

A passenger in the vehicle, Ellen Fiorenza (72 YO), was seriously injured and transported to a local hospital for treatment.
