“…Captain Shane Henson, who has been with DCSO for more than 30 years, was a passenger in a serious car accident over the weekend in Glascock County. He is currently in the ICU and awaiting his second surgery.
We remain in constant communication with the family and are assisting in any way we can.
Conversations are also taking place with family members about what level of assistance, fundraisers, or other support may be helpful moving forward.
Below is a release from the Glascock County Sheriff’s Office regarding the accident.
The Glascock County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Glascock County Fire Department and Warren County EMS, responded to a serious motor vehicle collision at approximately 9:30 PM on Griffin Pond Road in the 1200 block.
Upon arrival, emergency personnel located a single vehicle that had struck a large tree. The vehicle contained six occupants. One individual was transported by AirEvac, four were transported by Warren County EMS, and one was transported by McDuffie County EMS…”
