FORSYTH COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE NEWS RELEASE:
“On October 30, 2023, at approximately 12:13 a.m. the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office and Fire Department were dispatched to 1580 Independence Trail for a single vehicle crash.
The initial investigation revealed a 2004 Nissan Pathfinder was traveling south on Atlanta Highway near Anthem Parkway. The driver failed to maintain his lane while negotiating the left-hard curve in the roadway. The Pathfinder went through the fence of 1540-1550 Independence Trail and striking a tree. The driver, 27-year-old Jake Navarro of Cumming, was pronounced deceased at the scene.”
