Crews battling brutal heat continue cleaning up storm debris along Forsyth Co. right-of-way

Forsyth County Roads & Bridges crews, battling the brutal heat, continue to remove and chip debris that fell within county rights of way during last week’s severe weather.

A message issued Thursday by county officials reminds private property owners that they are responsible for handling debris that fell on their land and asks that they not move debris onto county rights of way. Crews are using records, photos and other documentation of roadways that were cleared following the storm to assist them in determining where cleanup will be performed.

And motorists are urged to use caution when they see these crews working along county roadways.

Individuals looking for local places to dispose of yard waste and woody debris can find a list of facilities on the Forsyth County Recycling & Solid Waste page under “Frequently Asked Questions”:  https://www.forsythco.com/Departments-Offices/Recycling-Solid-Waste
