A 25-year-old Covington man is free on bonds totaling $6,761 following his arrest over the weekend after a chase involving Flowery Branch Police.
FLOWERY BRANCH POLICE NEWS RELEASE:
“(An officer) attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed
on Interstate 985 southbound near Exit 12. The vehicle was recorded traveling
102 miles per hour.
After the Officer caught up to the vehicle and attempted to initiate a traffic stop,
the driver failed to yield. During this time, the vehicle nearly collided with two
other motorists. A brief pursuit ensued, and the vehicle came to a stop on the Exit
8 off-ramp.
The driver, identified as Riley Crowe…was taken into custody
without further incident. Crowe was transported to the Hall County Detention
Center, where he was booked on the following charges:
- Fleeing or Attempting to Elude – Misdemeanor
- Reckless Driving
- DUI – Less Safe
- Driving While License Suspended
- Speeding”
