Cornelia Police say there is a right way and a wrong way to help the city’s homeless. And the department offers some guidelines on Facebook on how to go about it the “right” way.
At issue is placing a homeless person on private property without the owner’s permission. Also leaving food and other necessities on private property without getting the owner’s permission.
The department is investigating reports, according to the post, that an individual or individuals are going outside Habersham County and bringing homeless into Cornelia and finding them a place to stay.
