The Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) recently approved contracts for 15 projects valued at $238.8 million across the state. Included is work in White, Habersham and Forsyth counties
The White and Habersham project calls for 7.6 miles of resurfacing on Georgia 255 from Georgia 17 to Georgia 197 at a cost of $3.1 million. The estimated completion date? April 30, 2025.
The largest single investment, valued at approximately $122 million, is for the widening and reconstruction of six miles of Georgia 20 from Post Road to near North Corners Parkway in Forsyth County. That work is expected to be finished by May 31, 2028.
