Cold settles in

The winds have died down but cold weather across north Georgia that we’ve been told would be here this week settled in overnight Monday, and we can expect unseasonably cold temperatures for the next seven days at least. The National Weather Service’s (NWS) seven-day forecast as of Tuesday morning shows temperatures in Gainesville running around ten degrees below normal through at least Sunday with daytime highs in the 30s and 40s and nighttime lows in the 20s, bottoming-out at 21 degrees Saturday night.
