Clyde, McCormick vote ‘no’ on ousting Johnson

The two congressmen who represent Hall County, Andrew Clyde (R-Jackson County) and Rich McCormick (R-Suwannee), voted against a move in the House Wednesday to remove Speaker Mike Johnson.

Marjorie Taylor Greene (pictured), a Republican from Georgia’s 14th District, who introduced the motion to remove Johnson from the post, generated “boos” from both sides of the aisle as she spoke on the House floor, introducing her resolution. Democrats had said they would fight her move to have Johnson ousted – and, for the most part, they stayed true to their word.
