Clyde endorses Jordan for House Speaker

9th Dist. Congressman Andrew Clyde has endorsed Ohio’s Jim Jordan for Speaker of the House to replace Kevin McCarthy who was ousted last week.

“Our next speaker must be effective, tenacious, and (a) principled conservative who can unite the House GOP Conference,” the Jackson County Republican declared on X, formerly Twitter. “I wholeheartedly endorse Jim for Speaker, and I look forward to getting back to work for the American people under his leadership.”

Clyde, in saying Biden has given Iran $6 billion, was referring to the president’s decision to clear the way for the detained in Iran by issuing a waiver for international banks to transfer that amount in frozen Iranian money from South Korea to Qatar without fear of U.S. sanctions.
