Clyde: Appointment of Special Counsel in Hunter Biden case has “zero” credibility

Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-Jackson Co.) says the appointment of David Weiss as Special Council to in the Hunter Biden case is a sham. Clyde took to Twitter shortly after the announcement Friday by Attorney General Merrick Garland, saying “Weiss – who orchestrated Hunter’s sweetheart plea deal – has ZERO credibility. This is nothing more than an attempt to conceal the Biden Crime Family’s corruption.”

Some House Republicans, Clyde included, are also threatening a presidential impeachment inquiry into unproven claims that President Biden benefited from his 54-year-old son’s business ventures.

Meanwhile, Weiss said in a court filing on Friday shortly after his appointment that talks between the two sides have broken down and that the younger Biden may face trial. “The Government now believes that the case will not resolve short of a trial,” he wrote.
