Chop shop case: Additional charges, 2nd arrest

Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) property crimes investigators have filed additional charges against the original suspect in connection to a chop shop operation located on Gaines Mill Road last week. And a second arrest has been made.

HCSO NARRATIVE:

“On Friday…Wesley James Alldredge, 48, of Gainesville, was arrested on a felony chop shop violation after two stolen vehicles were located on property in the 3200 block of Gaines Mill Road. He posted bond and was released from custody the following day. Investigators have since obtained warrants for two counts of felony theft by receiving.

In addition, investigators were able to link Daniel Nathan New, 38, of Pendergrass, to the theft of one of the stolen vehicles (2021 Polaris RZR) located on the property. New, who has been in the Hall County Jail since Dec. 24…on unrelated charges, has now been charged with felony theft by receiving and felony chop shop violation.  He remains in jail with no bond.”
