Chattahoochee Golf Club (CGC) is set to weather another round of closures as a potentially damaging cold front moves into Gainesville-Hall County.
In preparation for below-freezing temperatures, CGC staff will cover the greens first thing Sunday.
“Chattahoochee Golf Club staff will uncover the greens either Monday afternoon for play Tuesday or first thing Tuesday for play starting around 11 a.m. that day,” said Gainesville Public Relations Director Christina Santee-Moss. “This schedule will be fully dependent on Mother Nature.”
As of Thursday, the National Weather Service (NWS) predicted below-freezing temperatures early next week, with a low of 19 degrees Sunday (high of 43 degrees) and a low of 25 degrees Monday (high of 40 degrees). The NWS predicted temperatures would start climbing back into the 40s (lows) and 50s/60s (highs) by midweek.
Despite the frosty temps, the driving range will remain open during this time. Chattahoochee Grill will open daily to the public: chattahoocheegrill.com
