*The 48-year-old driver of an SUV involved in a chase early Sunday with Barrow County sheriff’s deputies was seriously injured when his vehicle overturned several times at the Ga. 53/Ga. 316 intersection. A deputy had tried to stop Gary Poor for Failing to Maintain Lane.
*The Habersham County Sheriff’s Office responded just after 11:45 Saturday night to a residence on Pea Ridge Road near Cornelia to a dispute call which involved a “possible self-inflicted gunshot wound.” A woman was taken to the Gainesville hospital for undisclosed injuries. No other details were available as of mid-afternoon Monday. The GBI is assisting in the investigatioin.
*The Hall County Sheriff’s Office says the social media post by a West Hall High School student late Sunday night that caused some alarm “did not violate Georgia law in any way.” Spokeswoman B.J.
