Authorities are confirming the discovery of a car in Lake Lanier near a Forsyth County park.
“Yes there is a submerged car in the lake,” Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) spokeswoman Stacie Miller wrote in an email just after noon today. “Hall County (HCSO) dive team is on the way.”
A social media post shows a red car in the water just offshore from Tidwell Park. It’s not clear, though, what the make and model is.
Tidwell Park is at the end of Pilgrim Mill Road.
