Browns Bridge Rd.: Accident injuries 3; Dawsonville Hwy.: Body found in lake

*Three people were injured early Monday in an accident that shutdown a part of Browns Bridge Road for about two hours. The state patrol says it happened about 6:30 at Dorsey Drive when one vehicle turned into the path of another. The injured were the two drivers and a passenger in one of the vehicles. Each received non-life-threatening injuries according to the investigating trooper. Browns Bridge Road reopened about 8:00. *Meanwhile, another early morning incident closed a section of Dawsonville Highway at one of the bridges over Lake Lanier. “Emergency crews (see picture) were called to the area for a body found in the water,” Gainesville Police spokesman Kevin Holbrook said later in the morning. “Investigators are working to determine the nature of the case.” As late as 10:30, police were warning that there would continue to be “intermittent closures.” At mid-afternoon, no other information had been released.
