Broadcasters’ group stops in Gainesville; honors GLORY’S Wofford

The Georgia Association of Broadcasters (GAB) brought it 90th anniversary road show to Gainesville Wednesday.

The organization is celebrating this year by visiting several areas of the state and Wednesday the stop was the Boathouse at Lake Lanier Olympic Park.

Representatives of radio stations in eight north Georgia markets – Rome, Cartersville, Ellijay, Cleveland, Cornelia, Winder, Toccoa and Gainesville, were on hand – including 97.5 Glory FM General Manager Mike Wofford.

Wofford was surprised at the meeting with the GAB Spirit Award for his work in broadcasting.
