*Crews are putting the finishing touches on Gainesville’s newest Publix supermarket. The 54,964-square-foot store on Limestone Parkway across from a Kroger-anchored New Holland area shopping center, is set to open Sept. 12. Meanwhile, Publix continues to push northward out of its traditional service area with plans to open another store in Kentucky – in Owensboro.

*Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS) has passed the 25,000 mark in robotic surgeries, putting its program among the top ten hospitals in the Southeast. More than 50 surgeons use NGHS’ nine da Vinci surgical systems at two hospitals – Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) Gainesville and NGMC Braselton – to perform robotic procedures across several surgical specialties including bariatric weight loss, heart & vascular, colorectal, gynecological, gynecological oncology, orthopedic, thoracic, urological and general surgery.
