As the snow and ice dumped on north Georgia last Friday gradually melts, the unseasonably cold temperatures that accompanied the winter storm are expected to be around for most of this week.
The National Weather Service (NWS) says lows will remain in the 20s and highs in the 40s through Thursday when rain and more normal temperatures return to the Gainesville area.
