Boleman tapped for principalship at Sugar Hill ES

Hall County Schools Supt. Will Schofield intends to recommend Jeremy Boleman as the next Principal of Sugar Hill Elementary School.

The recommendation will be made at the March 10 county school board meeting. Boleman will take the place of Principal Jennifer Deaton, who will retire at the end of the school year.

Boleman began his journey with Hall County Schools as a high school student, working as an afterschool instructor at Spout Springs Elementary. While attending the University of North Georgia, he continued serving the district as a substitute teacher and afterschool instructor.

His career in education includes six years as a health and physical education teacher at McEver Elementary before moving into administration, serving as an assistant principal at both Flowery Branch Elementary and Oakwood Elementary.

In December 2018, Boleman was named interim principal at Oakwood Elementary and was appointed principal in May 2019, his current position.

Oakwood will close its doors at the end of this school year as it merges with McEver Elementary to form the district’s newest elementary school, Everwood.
