A bicycle rider, who was slightly injured when his bike collided with a car on Gainesville’s southside recently, was found at fault, the Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) said Monday in releasing details about the accident.
It happened early Friday Industrial and Aviation boulevards.
HCSO NARRATIVE:
The car, driven by Andres Luna Garcia, 58, of Elgin, Illinois, was turning left from Aviation to Industrial. The cyclist, Richard Anthony Henson, 63, of Gainesville, was eastbound on Industrial when the impact happened at roughly 6:55 a.m.
Garcia stopped to help Henson, who was knocked from the bicycle and hit his head during the accident. Hall County Fire Rescue responded and transported Henson to Northeast Georgia Medical Center for treatment of what deputies classified as visible injuries.
Deputies determined Henson to be at fault in the accident. They cited him for no lights on bicycle.”
