The Banks County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) says it is “actively” investigating a social media video involving deputies but is providing very little information on the nature of the footage – at this time.
A statement that was posted on social media by the department seeks to assure the public that “we are actively reviewing the footage and taking this matter seriously. As an agency, we are committed to upholding the values of our profession, respect, integrity, dependability, and empathy of all aspects of our work.”
The statement went no further in providing specific details “at this time due to the sensitive nature of the individuals involved, we are conducting a thorough internal review…”
