11:15 A.M. UPDATE. It appears we won’t know until Monday, at the earliest, what prompted law enforcement activity on Barrett Road near Burton Circle early Saturday.
A Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) spokeswoman said later in the morning that she did not “anticipate an update before Monday.”
7:15 UPDATE. HCSO units no longer in the area. Still no word on what was taking place.

Be aware of increased law enforcement presence on Barrett Road in the area of Burton Circle. The Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) is asking that the public void the area at this time, however, authorities are not releasing any information at this time about what’s going on.
This apparently began around 5:30 this morning. That’s when social media pots about “lots” of sirens on Athens Highway in the Gillsville Highway area began appearing.
Burton Circle is off Barrett Road which is off Athens Highway.
